Plazes Screencasts
January 30th, 2007
I’ve been using Plazes for quite some time now, and I find it a unique and interesting service for tracking and publishing my location online along the day.
Nevertheless it’s always a bit hard for me to explain to other potential users, the reasons why they should or shouldn’t use it, expecially the little effort they actually have to make to put it to work for them! Well.. not anymore, seems like Peter Rukavina has put up some very nice screencasts for Plazes, which I recomend to everyone who would like to learn a bit more about Plazes.

Althought still in Beta, the service is already more than stable and a precious help when trying to find the nearest wifi spot about the place where you are, wherever you are! Trust me on this, (besides actively helping growing the current wifi spots database) I’ve also dependend on it to find my connection to the wired world. These days you can even use it on your mobile phone to track down other stuff than wifi connections, stuff like restaurants, the nearest gas station, you name it!
