I heard about this in the uf-discuss mailing list the other day. Pretty awesome to know W3C is actually supporting the cause. 

They already have their own view of the semantic web and it's not all that compatible with the current web.

The great thing about uf's is that it's 100% compatible with the web we know and love. That's why it's so exciting to see this document being published. Even if the title goes a bit against the Plain Old Semantic HTML (POSH http://microformats.org/wiki/posh) view. :)

Great of you to mention this. :) Just yesterday I was selling this concept to "the team". I hope it sticks to them, like it did to me 2 yrs ago.  :)
